Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ResuLabs. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of beta.resulabs.com and any related services (the “Service”), operated by Mohammed Atheequr Rahman, a sole proprietorship based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (“ResuLabs,” “we,” “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

ResuLabs is an AI-powered resume building and job-tailoring platform. It allows you to:

• Build a resume from scratch or upload/import an existing resume
• Customize the design and formatting of your resume
• Download your resume
• Submit a job description for AI-powered analysis that rewrites and reorganizes your existing resume content to be more ATS-friendly and aligned with that job
• View an AI-generated insight panel (job match score, pros/cons, and estimated improvement to your match) and revert to your original base resume at any time

ResuLabs is currently in beta. Features, availability, and pricing may change without notice, and you may encounter bugs or downtime.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• Notify us immediately at hello@resulabs.com of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Your Content

• You retain ownership of the resume content, job descriptions, and any other material you upload or enter (“Your Content”)
• By using the Service, you grant ResuLabs a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and use Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service (including sending it to AI processing systems to generate tailored output)
• You represent that Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to submit it
• The AI tailoring feature only rephrases, reorganizes, or reformats content you have already provided. It does not and will not fabricate new skills, job titles, employers, education, credentials, or experience you have not entered. You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any AI-tailored resume before using or submitting it to an employer.

5. AI-Generated Insights Are Not Guarantees

The job match score, pros/cons, and “estimated improved match” figures shown by ResuLabs are AI-generated estimates intended to help guide your resume improvements. They are not a guarantee of interview calls, job offers, or hiring outcomes. Actual results depend on many factors outside our control, including the employer’s own hiring process and criteria.

6. Payments

• Certain features may require payment, processed via Razorpay
• By making a purchase, you authorize us (via our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method
• Prices are shown in the applicable currency at checkout and may change with notice
• All payments are final. See our Refund Policy — payments are non-refundable except in cases of genuine billing errors

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is false, defamatory, infringing, or violates a third party’s rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its AI systems
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach the Service’s security
• Share, sell, sublicense, or provide access to your account or subscription to any other individual, or use your account on behalf of, or for the benefit of, anyone other than yourself
• Create or operate multiple accounts to circumvent per-account limits, pricing, or restrictions

7.1 One Account, One User

Each ResuLabs account, including any paid subscription (such as plans offering unlimited resume storage and AI tailoring), is licensed for use by a single individual only. Features that allow you to store or manage multiple resumes are intended for one user to manage their own resume variations (e.g., different roles or industries) — not for hosting or managing resumes on behalf of other people, or for multiple people sharing login access to a single account.

We actively monitor for signs of account sharing or multi-user use of a single account, including but not limited to unusual access patterns, simultaneous sessions, or resume content indicating multiple distinct individuals. If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that an account is being shared or used by more than one person, or that multiple accounts have been created to circumvent these restrictions, we treat this as a violation of these Terms.

8. Violations, Suspension, and Permanent Bans

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Where we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that a user has engaged in serious or repeated violations — including but not limited to account sharing, multi-user use of a single account, circumventing subscription limits through multiple accounts, or other exploitative or fraudulent use of the Service — we reserve the right to permanently ban and disable the associated account(s), without refund, and without obligation to permit that individual to create a new account on the Service in future.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if action is taken against your account, but are not obligated to provide advance warning in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or exploitation.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, branding, and AI tailoring technology, is owned by ResuLabs and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as intended.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may use or link to third-party services (e.g., AI model providers, payment processors, hosting providers). We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

11. Beta Disclaimer

As a beta product, the Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. We recommend keeping your own backup copies of any resume content important to you.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or that AI-generated content will be error-free or lead to any particular outcome.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResuLabs and its proprietor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunities (including job opportunities), arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResuLabs and its proprietor from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access for operational or legal reasons unrelated to any violation on your part (e.g., discontinuing a feature or region), with notice where practicable. Termination for Terms violations, including permanent bans, is governed by Section 8.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, especially as we exit beta. We will update the “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
